As a Trustee, you will play a key role in providing strategic oversight, supporting the organisation’s development, and ensuring strong governance.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in education, HR, legal services, social care, mental health or community work. We also warmly welcome applications from people with lived experience from minoritised communities who can help shape and strengthen our equity and diversity work.
The role involves attending quarterly board meetings and contributing to occasional project work (approximately 30–40 hours per year).

Legal / Police / Social Services / Mental Health
You will:

Provide advice and guidance on contracts, leases, licences, and other legal matters

Support a broader understanding of the services that families and young people may be accessing
Education / Alternative Provision
You will:

Offer advice and guidance on the expansion of our Alternative Provision services

Support with policy, commissioning, and Ofsted requirements

Contribute to safeguarding practices, alongside our Safeguarding Trustee
Essential Qualities of All Trustees
We are looking for individuals who:

Understand and accept the key duties and responsibilities of trustees

Are familiar with (or willing to learn) governance, policies, and procedures required to run a charity effectively

Can ensure appropriate financial oversight and accountability

Understand employer responsibilities within a charity setting

Can contribute to long-term strategic decision-making

Are committed to acting responsibly and in the best interests of the charity
