Whitfield Tabernacle exists to conserve, restore and celebrate one of Kingswood's most significant historic buildings for the benefit of the public. By preserving its remarkable heritage and sharing its story, we aim to inspire greater understanding of its history while creating a vibrant space for future generations.
Building on the Tabernacle's historic role as both a meeting house and schoolroom, our vision is to transform it into a unique, flexible destination at the heart of Kingswood. The building will provide an attractive and welcoming place where people want to gather, learn, create and connect.
Throughout the day, the Tabernacle will host a diverse programme of community activities, education, arts and cultural events, with opportunities for people of all ages to engage with creativity and heritage. In the evenings, the space will come alive as a venue for performances, exhibitions, events and private hire ensuring this extraordinary building continues to serve its community in new and meaningful ways.
