ARE YOU READY TO DO SOMETHING THAT MATTERS?
The People's Recovery Project (TPRP) is a small, ambitious charity tackling two of London's most urgent challenges, homelessness and addiction, together. We believe that recovery is possible for everyone, and that the best people to build recovery communities are those who have lived and breathed these experiences themselves.
We are now recruiting Recovery Community Coordinators to join our growing team as part of an exciting new phase of our work. This is a rare opportunity to shape a role from the ground up, build something meaningful in your community, and be part of an organisation that genuinely values your voice.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
No two days will look the same. You will be out in the community, meeting people where they are, building trust, and opening doors into recovery that might otherwise stay closed. You will:
-
Engage people experiencing homelessness and addiction and support them on their journey towards treatment and recovery
-
Provide personalised one-to-one support, navigating services and advocating for individuals
-
Build and run peer-led groups, engagement hubs and community activities
-
Coordinate pathways into residential detox and rehabilitation
-
Support people through aftercare, building connection, belonging and purpose
-
Work in partnership with outreach teams, housing services, substance use teams and local authorities
-
Collect data and evidence to demonstrate the impact of your work
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We care far more about values, drive and real-world experience than formal qualifications. You might be the right person if you:
-
Have experience working with people facing homelessness, addiction or complex disadvantage
-
Are a natural community builder: someone who creates connection and belonging
-
Can work independently, manage your own caseload and take initiative
-
Communicate with warmth, clarity and confidence
-
Are committed to a co-produced, person-centred approach
-
Have lived experience of recovery, homelessness or addiction: this is welcomed, not required
WHAT WE OFFER
-
A salary of £36,000 per annum
-
Flexible, hybrid working: in the community, in the office, and from home
-
The chance to define and grow your own role
-
A small, supportive team that believes in leaderful working
-
Reflective practice, supervision and investment in your development
-
The opportunity to be part of something genuinely innovative
-
Professional development budget
