London's Air Ambulance Charity
Company Description
Who we are
London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an expert team of doctors, paramedics and pilots to London’s roadside, when someone is critically injured.
Using a helicopter from 08:00 to sunset, and rapid response cars at night or in adverse weather situations, London’s Air Ambulance can get there in time to make a difference. We perform innovative and potentially life-saving procedures usually found in the emergency department on scene, such as open chest surgery, blood transfusions and general anaesthetic.
We can be by the patient's side within minutes of injury and with our specialised skills and unmatched exprience, we can save lives where others can't. By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, we aim to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after traumatic injury.
We treat an average of six patients every day, but we're a charity, with 95% of our funding reliant on public support.
